Patients have access to Lynn's Boutique, a specialty shop within the CCI that provides clothing, breast prostheses, wigs and
inspirational items to women who have survived or who are living with breast and other cancers. A certified breast
fitter is also available to assist with prosthetic needs. The boutique was established in memory of Lynn Panici.
The Medical Spa at St. James, part of the St. James Health and Wellness Institute in Chicago Heights, provides free
manicures, pedicures and massages to our cancer patients currently undergoing surgery, chemotherapy or radiation
treatment. These services are conveniently offered to patients at the CCI and often become an integral part of
total care and treatment.
Throughout treatment, patients are able to access clinical support from:
- Nurse Navigators who guide and coordinate care and treatment.
- Social workers to help patients with the financial and practical matters that accompany any extended illness.
- Nutritionists who evaluate patients' eating habits and work with them to ensure proper daily nutrition.
- Spiritual care staff who help those dealing with the spiritual implications of living with cancer.
The CCI also offers several support groups that give cancer survivors and their families a way to share experiences and support each other.
