Extended Hours & No Hidden Fees

We try our very best to accommodate the most difficult schedules before and after surgery.  One of the success strategies after Lap Band placement is regular follow-up appointments and having your gastric band adjusted.  Therefore, we offer extended clinic hours, flexible nutrition appointments and groups that meet after typical work hours. 

• Clinic Hours with Dr. Shayani:  8:30 a.m. — 5:30 p.m. (may be subject to change)
• Nutrition Counseling: Morning, afternoon and evening hours available
• New Life, surgical preparatory class: Every third Monday at 7:00 p.m.
• Support Group: Every second Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Unlike many programs in the area, we do not charge a facility fee which can save you up to $150 per visit, additional co-payments, and deductibles.  There are no hidden fees. 

Getting Prepared & Approved

Should you choose Franciscan St. James, you will never feel alone when preparing for surgery. Our team of experts will guide you every step of the way through the insurance requirements and approval process.   Unlike most surgeries, insurance companies have many requirements for bariatric surgery coverage.  This process can be difficult and frustration for many. 

97.2% of individuals who completed a surgical consultation were approved for surgery with the help of the St. James Team between 2009 and 2010!
