Discharge Information

Coordinating Your discharge

We want your discharge to go as smoothly as possible. By coordinating with you and your fam- ily, our nursing staff can have all your arrangements prepared. Your nurse will discuss what medica- tions you should take at home, when you should follow up with the physician, your activity level and any other special instructions.

Discharge Time

Patients are discharged within an hour of receiving written authorization by their physician. If this occurs in the morning, we ask that patients be ready to leave the hospital by noon. If this occurs in the afternoon, we ask that your family or friends stand by for the discharge orders to come through. If you have a concern regarding transportation home, please contact your nurse.

To better meet the needs of all our patients, please make arrangements with family and friends ahead of time for your discharge. If you have any questions or need any help, please speak with your nurse or the manager or assistant manager of your unit.
