Ages 20 to 39
Get a clinical breast exam (performed by a doctor as part of a woman's yearly exam) once every three years.
Age 40 and over
Get a routine mammography screening and clinical breast exam yearly.

St. James is only one of two approved Teaching Hospital Cancer Programs by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons in the south suburbs. Within the continuum of care at the Patricia A. Joyce Comprehensive Cancer Institute is the Radiation Oncology Department.
Included are a team of specially trained professional who are Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Oncology Nurses, Medical Physicists and Dosimetrists.
Together this team plans, delivers and manages treatment on a daily basis utilizing Trilogy. Trilogy is the world's most accurate, most powerful and versatile image-guided, non-invasive radiation therapy system. Its stereotactic system uses radiation that is 20 percent higher with treatment times that can be up to 75 percent faster than available with other systems.
